If you're not sure what the difference is, Single Cylinder deadbolts are locked and unlocked by a key from the exterior and by a thumb turn from the interior. Double Cylinder deadbolts, on the other hand, are locked and unlocked by a key from both sides of the door. We do not recommend choosing a Double Cylinder deadbolt for a front door since it'll be difficult to evacuate the premises during an emergency.

Once you find a style you like, make sure you know if it's a Single or Double Cylinder deadbolt, and make sure it comes in your desired finish. If you've chosen a Kwikset product, you'll be prompted to choose a finish, a key cylinder type, a backset, and door thickness.
