If you need a keyed lock sideplate, you'll have the options of 358 CC sideplates and 512 CC sideplates. The letters "CC" stand for "Center to Center Measurement," measuring the space between the center of the door lever to the center of the deadbolt. Sideplates that are 358 CC are 3 ⅝" center to center while sideplates that are 512 CC are 5 ½" center to center. Emtek's non-locking sideplates have a greater variety in size, the smallest measuring 3 ⅝" and the largest measuring 10 inches. Once you decide on a plate style, you'll need to choose a knob or lever and a finish. Just a few of the many finishes available to you when buying Emtek decorative plate locks include polished chrome, French antique, oil rubbed bronze, and unlacquered brass (for a higher price). Next, you'll be required to select measurements for the backset and door thickness as well as choosing a strike and faceplate type and latch type.
